Muse Are Top of the Poll for Best Festival Performances

The popular and iconic band ‘Muse’ have topped the poll for best performance at both Reading and Leeds Festival 2011. The band, originally from Devon headlined both Festivals with fantastic performances with bands ‘My Chemical Romance’ and ‘The Midnight Beast’.

‘Muse’, the triumphant trio, who’s scintillating set featured their 2nd album ‘Origin of Symmetry’ from beginning to end, notched an average score of 7.87 in the poll. The overall poll saw as many as 800,000 votes cast.

‘My Chemical Romance’ came in at 2nd position with their own momentous set, recording an average of 7.75. ‘The Midnight Beast’ followed closely behind, resulting in 3rd place with their average score being 7.49.

Following in 4th place were ’30 Seconds To Mars’ with 6.69, while ‘The Strokes’ finished 5th with 6.47. Respectively ‘Two Door Cinema Club’ and ‘Cage The Elephant’ followed in 6th and 7th with 6.29 and 6.12, whereas ‘Panic! At The Disco’ resulted in the score 6.09, landing themselves in 8th place.

Finishing in 9th place was ‘Pulp’ who scored 5.98 and ‘The Vaccines’ polished off the top ten nicely with a respectable 5.83. Other acts included in the poll included ‘Bombay Bicycle Club’, ‘Elbow’, ‘The Horrors’ and ‘Friendly Fires’ of whom each scarcely missed out featuring within the top ten.
