It’s come to the attention of many that former N Dubz band member Tulisa Contostavlos is joining the panel of X Factor judges in 2011. A source said that Tulisa is very excited about joining the panel, and has said that there’s a lot of talent already and for that reason she cannot wait to find out what category she’ll be mentoring this year.
Tulisa’s style caught Simon Cowell’s eye, and after undergoing a make-over that he’d demanded, Tulisa is looking sleek and styled and ready to take on the role, judging alongside big names like Kelly Rowland – the former Destiny’s Child singer and solo artist, Gary Barlow – former songwriter and frontman of the smash hit band Take That, and music man and judge Louis Walsh. Of course Tulisa will be filling the spot of former judge Cheryl Cole, and will no doubt have big boots to fill, yet many are adamant she’ll fill them, including The Wanted.
The Wanted are said to be very excited about Tulisa joining the X Factor panel and were more than happy to sing Tulisa’s praises, saying “she’s got feistiness” and “will speak her mind”. Max from The Wanted said: “I think she’ll be great – she’s got a great personality and I think she speaks her mind which is what’s needed. Rather than just sitting there being pretty or whatever, she’s actually got something to her.”
When asked about which category she’d rather have she responded saying “it’s all about where the talent lies”. We’re all keen to see how Tulisa will perform, and with her solo career taking flight, there isn’t a shortage of pressure.
